Day 1
You will be met from your international flight at the airport and transferred straight to your Nairobi hotel for the night. You will be briefed on your meeting time for day two by your driver/guide. Most flights arrive quite late to it is the perfect start to have a drink and snacks in the bar after checking in, before getting an essential good night’s rest ready for your early safari adventure.

Day 2
After an early breakfast, set off on your safari in your purpose build 4x4 vehicle with your driver guide who will be with you for the entire trip. It is quite a long drive of around 300 km to the north taking six hours. As you head northwards, the scenery becomes increasingly beautiful heading towards Mount Kenya and the Samburu Hills.
Arrive at the Shaba Game Reserve in time for a late lunch. Head out late afternoon to experience your first full game drive in the reserve until sunset, returning for your evening meal at the lodge.

Day 3
Enjoy a full breakfast before setting off very early for your morning game drive. You will be back for lunch and have time for a few hours’ relaxation at the lodge pool, or the terrace overlooking the river, before setting off for your evening game drive.

Day 4
After an early breakfast, it is time to move on to your next location, Lake Nakuru. You will have around 300km to travel taking around six hours. Your journey takes in great scenery as you skirt around Mount Kenya and then weave your way around the Aberdare Range.
Arrive in time for a late lunch and a few hours relaxation before heading out for your afternoon game drive. The heart of the park houses an impressive lake which has a variety of birdlife. The openness of the lake also helps you to spot many mammals at the water’s edge. This fully fenced park provides a sanctuary for both Black and White Rhino maximising your chance of seeing these incredible animals on your safari. At sunset, head back to the lodge for your evening meal.

Day 5
Another early start to set off for the iconic Masai Mara. This drive is around 200km taking four hours.
Soon after arriving at the gates of the Masais Mara Reserve, you will be seeing your first game in Kenya’s leading National Park. Well renowned for big cats and elephants, you will be amazed at the wildlife viewing in this ultimate part of your journey.
Relax at the lodge after lunch before heading out on your afternoon game drive.

Day 6
You will have your last two game drives of your safari, one after breakfast and one late afternoon before sunset. As long as you pre-book well in advance, you can take an early morning balloon ride – speak to our safari planners about this thrilling option.

Day 7
After breakfast, it’s time to end your safari and head back to Nairobi for your return home or your onwards journey to a beach for some well-deserved relaxation. Enjoy your last views of the diverse wildlife you head out through the park for the four-hour (250km) trip back, arriving back to the capital around 13.300hrs. Onward flights should be booked departing after 16.30hrs.
