Day 1
You will be greeted from your flight at Kilimanjaro airport and transferred to your Arusha hotel for the night. This journey is 50km taking around an hour. Most flights arrive quite late so it is the perfect start to have a drink and snacks in the bar before getting an essential good night’s rest before your safari adventure commences early the next day.
No meals are included on this first day.

Day 2
You will have a leisurely start this morning. You will receive a briefing on your safari after breakfast and have the morning at leisure and lunch at the hotel. After lunch set off to Lake Burunge on the edge of Tarangire – journey time is 2.5 hours, 135km.
Enjoy the views out towards the lake and your evening meal at the camp.

Day 3
Enjoy a full breakfast before setting off very early for your morning game drive into Tarangire National Park. This lesser-known park is full of wildlife and will get your game driving off to a great start in search of big cats and the elephant herds.
Lunch will be back at camp. After lunch head back into the northern section of the park for an afternoon drive before leaving the park and heading onto Lake Manyara. This area is 50km away so around an hour from the park.
Enjoy the late afternoon vistas before enjoying your dinner later in the evening.

Day 4
After breakfast, take a short game drive around the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park, followed by lunch back at the camp before its time to move on again.
Your journey to the camp in the centre of the Serengeti is 200km, taking around four hours. However, the last 50km is through the Serengeti ecosystem. Your excitement will build as you approach this magnificent ecosystem. You are highly likely to see wildlife on route and as your drive turns into a part game drive it is likely to take longer to get to camp depending on your sightings.
Your leisure time before dinner will depend on your arrival time and the animal sightings on route.

Day 5
You will have plenty of time to see incredible wildlife in the Serengeti today as you will have both morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 6
After breakfast, it is time to leave the Serengeti. Enjoy game viewing on your first 50km again as you head back out of the National Park the same way you entered. Your total journey to the Ngorongoro Crater is 130km taking 2.5 hours, plus any stop time to view game at the start of your journey. You will have a picnic on route and arrive at your lodge in time for dinner.

Day 7
After an early breakfast, you have a real treat in store. Descent 600 meters into the crater and spend the entire day exploring the crater base with its lakes, swamps, forest and grasslands to view the hugely diverse range of wildlife that resides here. You will have a picnic lunch again today to maximise your time in the crater.
Return to your lodge for your evening meal and time to chat to the other guests about all your experiences on this wonderful safari.

Day 8
After breakfast, it’s time to end your safari and head back to Arusha for your return home, or onwards journey to a beach for some well-deserved relaxation. Enjoy the stunning scenery as you drive the 200km back to Arusha taking around four hours. Lunch is provided and you will transfer onto Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha airport for the next steps in your journey depending on where you are heading to next.
