There is definitely not a lack of family adventures to be had on this stunning island. The St Lucia Aerial Tram Tour is an exciting way to experience the rainforest. Look out for humming birds as the open-air gondola ascends through the rainforest high up to St Lucia’s forest reserve. A Nature Interpreter will be on hand to guide and point out plants and birdlife on the journey. There is also a Fern Nature Trail to be explored. Descending back through the tropical canopy is just as exciting with jaw dropping panoramic views of the jungle and surroundings. Set sail aboard a pirate ship for the day for a fun filled family adventure, treasure hunts, face painting and swimming make for a great alternative way to see the island, this can also be combined with other tours of the St Lucia and most trips include a lunch buffet. The Caribbean’s only drive-in volcano is something not experienced everyday so this is a must do while you are here. Steaming sulphur springs and bubbling mud pools surround the dormant volcano. Follow the road right alongside and through the crater. There are also hot springs and mud baths to have a dip with a difference in.  Visit the beautiful Toraille Waterfall and Gardens, stroll along the trails through the lush landscape and cool off by swimming right up to the falls. Changing rooms and a picnic area make for a lovely day out.  With so many stunning beaches it would be rude not to spend a day building sand castles on a golden palm lined stretch. Reduit Beach has it covered, over a mile long and a gentle sandy slope into the calm waters make it perfect for little ones.  There’s a whole host of watersports on the beach for active members of the family, jump on a banana boat for an adrenaline fuelled buzz, plus there is a beachfront restaurant for snacks and drinks.
