Overview

The first thing you’ll notice when you arrive at this enticing resort, is the view. With soft, sugary sands sweeping underneath the emerald green Petite Piton, we reckon this haven has one of the most amazing views of this naturally beautiful phenomenon. It’s truly one of the most mesmerising sights in St Lucia.

The resort itself is just as picturesque. Characterful Saint Lucian styling is infused with ultra-luxurious facilities and sleek, minimalist décor, whilst the charming thatched roof treatment rooms of Rainforest Spa hide amongst the emerald green flora.

Much of the retreat is nestled high up in the hill, meaning you’ll need to use the complimentary shuttle service to get around. We love just how easy this is, with every guest being given their own resort mobile phone to call up their butler for personalised service whenever they need. What an amazing way to feel like royalty.

In our eyes, this sophisticated, tranquil resort is best for a truly romantic getaway for two. Nevertheless, despite the highly elegant feel there’s plenty here for families looking for a little slice of paradise. The kids club is brilliant, offering a fun games room and a mini-theatre for young ones to perform.

After a day spent lapping up the sun on the dazzling white beach and indulging in a spa treatment or two, you’ll find that the restaurants here are just as luxurious. Ranging from decadent fine dining at The Great Room, to more casual fare at The Terrace, there’s something for everyone at this enticing oasis.

Sugar Beach is found on the south-western coast of St Lucia, sitting in-between the Piton Mountains, some of the island’s most dramatic scenery.  Surrounded by more than a hundred acres of tropical greenery, the resort meanders downwards to a tranquil fine white sand beach.

It’s also conveniently close to Soufriere and some of the country’s major attractions, including the drive through volcano featuring Sulphur Springs and Mud Pools, stunning gardens decorated with waterfalls, and beautiful trails for you to explore. The location of Sugar Beach makes it really easy to get out and enjoy the natural beauty of St Lucia during your stay.

  • Luxury Beachfront Bungalows – offering arguably the finest location at Sugar Beach, these bungalows allow you to walk straight out onto the beach, also featuring a private courtyard with a Jacuzzi and outdoor shower, sleeping two adults
  • Grand Beachfront Bungalow - directly on the white sandy beach, boasting a private shaded area facing the Carribean Sea with outdoor jacuzzi, sleeping up at three adults
  • Two Bedroom Grand Luxury Villas – with two bedrooms, two living rooms and two full-size bathrooms, these rooms enjoy ample space for families. A maximum of four adults and four children can stay here
  • Two Bedroom Ocean View Villa Residence –  self-contained residence with fully-equipped kitchen and home-from-home style  accommodation, sleeping either four adults, or two adults and two children
  • Three Bedroom Ocean View Villa Residence - similar to The Residences Two Bedroom Luxury Villa, with three bedrooms and sleeping either four adults, or two adults and three children
  • One Bedroom Ocean View Residence - one bedroom, self-contained residence, with cosy interior making it feel like a home away from home, sleeping a maximum of two adults
  • Two Bedroom Residence - comfortable residences with a fully equipped kitchen, holding either four adults, or two adults and three children
  • Three Bedroom Residence - homely residences with stylish decor, maximum persons varies with each booking
  • Four Bedroom Residence - the largest accommodation, with comfy furnishings and holding up to either eight adults, or four adults and four children

  • Saltwood – Previously known as The Great Room, offering Caribbean-style fine dining specialising in delicious fresh seafood and other delectable treats. Saltwood has both indoor and outdoor sitting areas and top quality service
  • Bonte – Previously known as Bayside, this casual beachfront restaurant is open for lunch and dinner offering a range of international foods including pizzas, pastas, salads, wraps and burgers
  • Jalousie Grill - offering a fabulous Caribbean menu, located right by the beach, next to Bonte
  • The Terrace – open for breakfast, The Terrace enjoys pretty views out to sea. Choose from a great selection of cooked options or venture into the buffet area where you’ll find pastries, breads, fresh fruits, cereals, cold meats and cheeses as well as fruit juices, teas and coffee
  • The Cane Bar – a slick and stylish bar offering a simple sushi menu and great cocktails
  • The Palm Court Lounge – offering afternoon tea and drinks in the evening

The Sugar Beach plan is available for a supplement and consists of:

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Non-premium alcoholic drinks by the glass in the Restaurants, soft drinks and locally sourced water
  • Basic items in the room mini-bar and room service menu ($18 delivery service fee tray charge applies per delivery while ordering from room service menu).

Please note: Certain items on the dining menus may be subject to a supplemental charge (these items will be designated with an asterisk *) to include but not limited to special events.   Any offerings included by a meal plan that is not consumed, will not be credited back.  Meals may be enjoyed in all locations with the exception of Boopa’s Café & The Great Room.  


 

Please note there is a mandatory Tourism Levy of US$6.00 per person, per night for adults 18 and older, and $3.00 per person, per night for guests 12-17 years old.  This will be collected by the hotel either upon check in or check out.
