Amara is located right on the beach around 10km from lively Limassol centre.

For fans of archaeology the ruins of Amathus is just minutes away and the impressive ruins of the kingdom of Kourion with its restored amphitheatre is a 30 minute drive. Just outside Limassol the Troodos Mountains are well worth exploring and there are some wonderfully frescoed Byzantine churches, now included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
