In the heart of Marrakech’s medina, a colourful market with intricate Moroccan rugs, rich spices and vibrant souvenirs, you’ll find Villa des Orangers. Despite its busy location, this beautiful traditional riad offers a secluded escape from the bustle of city life, a stunning oasis that embodies the beauty of Morocco.

Adorned with verdant orange trees and home to a traditional interior Moroccan courtyard, we love how relaxed we feel as soon as we step in this hidden retreat. Your breath will be taken away by the impressive textures and textiles that make each room and suite feel so opulent. We especially love the rooms and suites with private terraces, as they offer incredible views and even more luxury.

The riad has a long history, and you can sense this feeling of tradition at every corner. Built in the 1930s for a prominent person who lived here until 1998, the hotel was then bought by the current owners and turned into the opulent Relais et Châteaux member property it is today.

This beautiful riad is located in the medina of Marrakech, the city’s famous market. You’ll find Villa des Orangers at the foot of the Koutoubia Mosque, located between lively Jemaa El Fna Square and the Royal Palace.

  • Rooms with Private Terrace – Lovely 20sqm rooms overlooking the Atlas Mountains, the Koutoubia Mosque or the Medina from the private terrace that is located above the bedroom via an interior staircase. Featuring one double bed and sleeping two adults.
  • Deluxe Rooms – Gorgeous 20sqm rooms decorated in authentic Moroccan style. Enjoy lovely views of the courtyard and direct access to it from your glass doors. Featuring one double or two single beds, and sleeps up to two adults.
  • Suite with Private Terrace – Luxurious 35sqm suites overlooking either the Atlas Mountains, the Koutoubia Mosque or the Medina from the private terrace that is located above the bedroom via an interior staircase. Featuring one double or two single beds, and sleeps up to two adults. They are located on the first floor, with no elevator.
  • Junior Suite – Stylish 28sqm suites overlooking the patio or garden and located on the ground floor or the first floor (no elevator) and enjoying either traditional Moroccan or contemporary décor. Sleeps up to two guests with one double or two single beds.
  • Duplex Junior Suite – Stunning 35sqm suites with views of the main courtyard adorned with orange trees. These suites feature an expansive living room. Their location isn’t suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Sleeps up to three guests with one double or two single beds.
  • Large Suite with Private Terrace – Luxury 45sqm suites overlooking the Koutoubia Mosque, the Medina or the Atlas Mountains from the private terrace that is located above the bedroom via an interior staircase. Also enjoy a welcoming living room. Featuring one double or two single beds and sleeps two adults.
  • Master Suite – Opulent 100sqm two-storey suites, featuring a balcony overlooking the pool and garden, a living room with a fireplace, an office area, space for two beds, a large bedroom with a fireplace, and a walk-in closet. We love the suave Moroccan décor. Sleeps up to four guests.
  • Private Riad – Ideal for larger families, this secluded riad features a private patio shaded by tall banana trees, an outdoor living area with a private pool, and two bedrooms with either a double or two single beds each. The riad also has two bathrooms. Sleeps up to five guests.

  • The Restaurant – Whether you decide to dine in the suave dining room, by pool or under shady orange trees, The Restaurant offers a delectable taste of authentic Moroccan cuisine. Open for lunch 12pm-3pm and for dinner at .730pm via reservation.
