Four beautiful islands
The Balearic Islands are best known for their beautiful beaches, but go beyond the coastline and you’ll find a laidback mix of rugged mountains and charming towns to explore too. Enjoy sunbathing and dining on fresh seafood by the pearly white sands, or don your boots and trek through stunning natural beauty – either way, a holiday to the Balearic Islands is bound to embody Spain’s chilled mix of sunshine, good food and good times.
Our holidays take you to the island of Mallorca, a truly stunning destination that boasts gorgeous coves, vibrant citrus fruits, quaint towns doused in history, and the much-loved city of Palma de Mallorca. If you enjoy sipping fine wines, wandering around markets and living the chilled lifestyle, Mallorca is perfect for you.
Ibiza is of course known for its nightlife, but if you venture further inland or visit during off-peak times, you’ll instead discover an island steeped in bohemian style, with plenty of colourful flora and cultural attractions to see. Menorca is even more subdued, boasting wild beaches, a mix of cultures and low-key towns, whilst Formentera’s hotel number restrictions enables the island to remain eco-friendly and blissfully quiet.
Why visit the Balearic Islands?
- The Balearic Islands are still untouched by modern tourism. They have instead stuck to their laidback Spanish roots and focus on introducing travellers to their long, multifaceted history. Here you’ll find Moorish architecture, Anglo-Spanish towns and long unspoilt coastlines.
- The cuisine is, of course, delicious and fresh. Tantalising tapas is our favourite way to dine in the Balearic Islands, shrouding your table with small plates of sobrasada sausage, seafood and tombet – a delightful slow-cooked vegetable and tomato stew.
- The gorgeous beaches and rugged rolling hills lend themselves to wonderful slow-paced activities. Trek the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range in Mallorca, or enjoy water sports including water skiing and diving in the warm Mediterranean waters.
