Overview

The completely refurbished Hotel Jardin Tecina will re open its doors on 06 December 2024. The hotel  is set in 70,000 square metres of impressive vegetation with more than 350 species of plants from all over the world. Each week, guests of the hotel, have an opportunity to take a guided botanical walk to experience the extraordinary vegetation.

The hotel is built on a hillside, designed in true Canarian style and surrounded by paths bordered with beautiful gardens and surrounded by colourful flora and fauna. The hotel offers a truly memorable and unique experience with a lift built inside the cliff face, which takes you down to the Beach Club. The experience is even more truly magical at night and not to be missed.

The hotel has 434 rooms and suites over two levels, in traditional bungalow style with welcoming and light-filled rooms to give that homely feel.  The hotel rooms are positioned in small clusters around the resort each with a sign posted street leading onto it.

There are five top quality restaurants at the Hotel Jardin Tecina offering a wide variety of healthy food, including selection of fresh products and daily offer of vegetarian, vegan and adapted products which are gluten and lactose free. All bread and pastries and desserts are produced freshly on a daily basis

For those guests looking for a little more activity, the hotel offers, tennis, squash, paddle courts, table tennis, fitness centre, darts, Petanque, mini golf and beach volley ball. The hotel is also home to Tecina Golf, 18 holes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with one of the most impressive settings in Europe to swing a club.

Hotel Jardin Tecina is located in Playa de Santiago in the south of La Gomera.

  • 20 minute transfer from Tenerife south airport to Port of Los Cristianos in Tenerife
  • 50 minute ferry crossing on the Fred Olsen fast ferry from Port of Los Cristianos in Tenerife to Port of San Sebastian in La Gomera
  • 45 minute spectacular transfer from Port of San Sebastian to Hotel Jardin Tecina.
  • The ferry departure time to La Gomera depends on your flight arrival times – ferries depart at 9.30am, 4pm and 7pm or 8pm

  • Horizonte Superior Front Sea View - 30.6 – 34.5 sqm, front sea view, twin rooms with third bed on request, kettle included. Sleeps up to three adults
  • Laurisilva Junior Suite - 54.4 – 63.3 sqm, sea or garden views, twin rooms with third bed on request, additional lounge area with sofa bed, kettle included, tea and coffee service (Illy machine). Sleeps up to three adults
  • Villa Suites - Total 109.7 sqm, (first floor 43.5, second floor 41.8, solarium 24.4, three level distribution. First, large bedroom twin/double beds, bathroom and terrace (ground floor). Second, living room, bathroom with shower, convertible into a second bedroom, balcony with lateral sea view (first floor). Third, private panoramic sun – terrace with Balinese chill out bed and convertible pouffe (second floor).   • Restaurante Principal – Open for buffet breakfast and dinner. Breakfast offers a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruits, smoothies, and freshly made breads, buns and pastries. Dinner is also served with a vast array of international cuisine and traditional dishes.
  • Restaurante Gara – Open for dinner.  Dinner is a set menu, which changes on a daily basis. The restaurant is not included in meal plans and comes with a supplement.
  • Tasca Fandango – Tapas restaurant with a varied selection of Spanish wines in a close intimate and pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is not included in any meal plans. Taste menu available with a supplement.
  • Barbacoa Piscina – Located next to the main swimming pool and surrounded by gardens and spectacular views of the sea is the perfect place to enjoy a varied lunch. This restaurant is not included in the meal plan.
  • Trattoria – Club Laurel – Enjoys the finest Italian cuisine by the sea. Not included in any meal plans. Taste menu available with a supplement
  • Restaurante El Laurel – Club Laurel – Open for dinner, this restaurant serves first class cuisine in a very special atmosphere. Not included in any meal plans, however guests receive a discount when dinning in this restaurant when booking half and full board.
  • Cave for 2 – Club Laurel – A natural cave, with ocean and mountain views, prefect for a romantic dinner, offering absolute privacy. Not included in a meal plan but special discount for those guests who have booked half and full board. A unique experience!
  • Pool Bar – Open during the day, situated near the main pool, whereby guests can enjoy refreshments whilst relaxing in a sun lounger.
  • Bar Kristina – Enjoy a relaxing drink before after dinner
  • Bar Salon Beatriz de Bobadilla – Open from 7.30pm until late, where guests can enjoy an array of drinks and evening entertainment
  • Bar Club Laurel – Situated by the sea front where guests can enjoy a relaxing drink both during the day and night.
