Overview

A wellbeing wonderland, Bali is the place to turn to when seeking mental, physical and spiritual rejuvenation. We challenge you to resist being inspired by the otherworldly sights this tour will present to you. From the majestic Munduk waterfall, to the captivating coral reefs of Menjangan Island and the vibrantly green rice fields that cascade down the hills of Batukara mountain range, the wonders of Bali alone are enough to leave you feeling renewed.

Despite this, this tour offers you far more than just epic vistas. As you start and end your days with yoga and meditation, this wellness tour encourages more than just looking outward at the scenery around you – it gives you the time and space to turn inward and connect with yourself. Activities such as visiting the sacred springs of Tirta Empul and participating in a Balinese healing ceremony further this mindful intention, leaving you released of tension and negative energy.

All of this combined with delicious cuisine and tropical beaches fit for paradise will leave you questioning whether you left reality and entered nirvana. With a refreshing focus on wellbeing, this tour ensures that the pace is slow but the transforming effects fast (GA - AEUSW).

Day 1

Ubud

All that is required of you for day one is that you arrive with an open mind and with intentions set for the wellbeing journey that lies ahead of you. As evening falls you have the chance to meet your fellow islanders, along with the CEO, and, over dinner, begin forming connections which by the end of the week will be irreversible.

Dinner included.

Day 2

Ubud

Beginning the day as you mean to go on with an awakening yoga class followed by a fuelling breakfast, you will be all set for a day of discovery. Before you begin the journey of self-exploration, you will first be invited to explore the spiritual wonders of Bali, including the Hindu water temple, Tirta Empul and the monumental shrine, Gunung Kawi. At the former you will have the honour of purifying yourself in the sacred springs, and the latter invites you to reflect on the rich cultural history that is captured in these 11th century stone cliffs. With your intellectual appetite satisfied, it is time for some lunch at G Adventures' community project partner, Planeterra. Day two comes full circle as you close the day with yoga and meditation – a perfect opportunity to turn inward and see what the day has stirred within you.

Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 3

Ubud

Adopting a similar structure to yesterday, you begin your day with a Hatha yoga class and breakfast before the day’s adventure commences. With a focus on Balinese cuisine, you will be paying a visit to an organic farm where an expert chef will guide you in creating your own authentic meal. Having created your own lunch, you are rewarded with an afternoon to spend as you please, perhaps continuing the routine of reflecting on the day with yoga and meditation.

Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 4

Ubud – Pemuteran

Today’s cultural and spiritual journey takes you North West of Bali to the peaceful village of Pemuteran. In the picturesque town of Tabanan you will have the honour of experiencing further purification and reinvigoration at an authentic healing ceremony. Whilst at the Tabanan house compound, take the opportunity to immerse yourself in their way of life as you learn how to write the Balinese alphabet and delight in a home-cooked lunch. Following this, the rest of the day is yours to spend exploring Pemuteran – we recommend retreating to the beach, which is one of Bali’s best.

Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 5

Pemuteran

This morning’s yoga session further emphasises the theme of reinvigoration as you are led through a Balinese Healing class. A tropical adventure follows breakfast as you are driven to the pier, and then taken via boat to the magical Menjangan Island, a secluded mass of lush greenery, untouched by man. Thanks to this, the pristine waters that you will be snorkelling through are home to incredible coral reefs, teeming with colourful sea life.

Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 6

Pemuteran – Sanur

This morning’s yoga session will have to wait as you are heading straight to the serene seaside town Sanur, where you can ogle at Munduk, the magnificent waterfall that will transport you straight to paradise. Following that you will be visiting Ulundanu Temple, a Hindu temple which is found rather magically gliding atop Tamblingan Lake. Finally, you will take to your bicycle as you ride through the UNESCO protected Jatiluwih’s rice fields, the most mesmerising in all of Bali as they cascade down Batukaru mountain range. After this jam-packed itinerary of sight-seeing, you can put your feet up as you journey to Sanur and enjoy a well-earned oceanside drink upon arrival.

Breakfast included.

Day 7

Sanur

This morning you will be back to your usual routine of beginning the day with a Hatha yoga session, with the added bonus of looking out upon Sanur’s 5km of glorious coastline. In keeping with the laid-back spirit of Sanur, your afternoon can consist of wellness activities such as a massage course or a Balinese dance class.

Breakfast included.

Day 8

Sanur

After a light breakfast you will have the chance to bond with a local family who will introduce you to the liberating experience of anti-gravity yoga- a fancy way of stretching out in a hammock. As your final full day, you are encouraged to take this afternoon to explore Sanur – temples, museums, conservation centres and beach activities are all on offer.

Breakfast included.

Day 9

Sanur

Unfortunately, at day nine it is time to bid the formidable Indonesian island of Bali and your new friends farewell. Feel free to depart at any time that is convenient to you.
