Day 1
Tokyo
Once you arrive at Narita Airport, you’ll be met in the arrival hall by your driver who will transfer you to your hotel.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city. If you love shopping, we suggest checking out Ginza Six, a new ultra-modern shopping complex that takes up a whole city block and boasts 241 eclectic shops. At lunchtime, take a stroll through Tsukiji Market and pick a delicious seafood dish some one of the food vendors. If you venture here in the spring, the trendy neighbourhood Nakameguro has some of the best views of the cherry blossoms.

Day 2
Tokyo
Today you’ll enjoy a fabulous full day tour of the city with a local guide. Travelling via the public transport system, you’ll begin by visiting Meiji Shrine, which is dedicated with the sacred spirit of Emperor Meiji and has now become a popular wedding venue.
Stroll along Omotesando, a street renowned for its array of stylish fashion flagship stores, before travelling to Asakusa for an insight into old-time Tokyo. The afternoon sees you exploring Sensoji, the city’s oldest temple, and Nakamise, a shopping street adorned with traditional Japanese snacks and souvenirs.
Afterwards enjoy a cruise along the Sumida River, marvelling at the 12 bridges before reaching Hamarikyu Garden. This classic Japanese garden contrasts wonderfully with nearby Shiodome district’s innovative skyscrapers, showcasing Tokyo’s juxtaposition of tradition and ultra-modern. From here you can enjoy a warm mug of matcha and tuck into Japanese sweets at a tea house. The tour takes around eight hours.

Day 3
Hakone and Mount Fuji
Today you’ll explore Hakone, a beautiful town known for its fabulous hot springs, outdoor recreation and of course, the brilliant views of Mount Fuji. It’s a 90-minute on board the ‘Romance Car’ express train from Tokyo’s Shinjuku station from Tokyo to Hakone - your local guide will accompany you.
Once you’ve arrived, you’ll have time to explore the Hakone-Izu National Park with a visit to Choanji temple feautiring pleasant walking trails and travelling by cruise boat across Lake Ashi. If the weather is clear you'll get stunning Mt Fuji views.
Make your way up the Komagatake Ropeway for panormaic Lake Ashi views from the summit. After lunch, stop by a local craft shop selling puzzle boxes - a local speciality. Explore the area by foot with your local guide with a 20-30 minute walk (its very flat although can be a little boggy so waterproof footwear is advised).

Day 4
Depart Tokyo
Today marks the end of your trip. You’ll be transferred via coach to Narita Airport for your ongoing flight.
Alternatively, extend your trip with a visit to Kyoto.
