Day 1
Colombo
Upon your airport arrival, a Jetwing Travels representative will greet you, arranging a swift 40-minute transfer to Colombo. After check-in and a quick refresh, your evening in Colombo begins with a delightful food walk. Savor an array of delectable street food, featuring delights like Kottu – a flavourful blend of chopped roti, meat curry, scrambled egg, onions, and chilies, reflecting the city's diverse cultural influences.

Day 2
Colombo – Dambulla
Following an early breakfast, you'll journey to a village near Dambulla for an immersive tour, offering insights into traditional rural life. Explore a family's traditional mudhouse, participate in preparing a delightful lunch featuring rice and various savoury curries. Enjoy a tranquil catamaran boat ride on the village lake and experience a charming cart ride. Later, transfer to the Jetwing Lake Hotel.
Dinner and Overnight: Jetwing Lake Dambulla (Standard) or Jetwing Vil Uyana, Sigiriya (Deluxe), or similar.
Day 3
Dambulla – Sigiriya - Kaudulla National Park
Your day kicks off early, with a 6am departure from the hotel for a 2-3 hour visit to the renowned Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Prepare for a climb involving 1200 steps, so wear suitable footwear and bring water. You can opt for a breakfast picnic or enjoy a meal upon your return around 9am.
Following lunch (paid locally) at the hotel, a one-hour journey takes you to Kaudulla National Park for an exhilarating 4x4 jeep safari. This sprawling 6900-hectare park boasts a rich array of wildlife, including the world's largest concentration of Wild Asian elephants and over 160 bird species, such as the spot-billed pelican, grey-headed fish eagle, and painted stork.

Day 4
Sigiriya – Matale – Kandy
Start your day with breakfast and then visit the captivating Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and Sri Lanka's largest and best-preserved cave temple complex. Dating back to the 1st century BC, this active Buddhist cave monastery features five caves adorned with beautifully painted Buddha statues, carvings, and murals. Accessible via 364 steps, be sure to wear comfortable footwear!
Next, head to Matale for a tour of a Spice Garden on your way to Kandy. This charming garden invites you to stroll amidst fragrant greenery while discovering the secrets of nutmeg, pepper vines, clove trees, curry, cinnamon, cardamom, and more. You'll also have the opportunity to purchase spices, traditional remedies, and cosmetics.
Travel to Kandy (approx 1hr 30 mins) and visit a local house for a cookery demonstration and late lunch, where you will learn how to prepare traditional Sri Lankan dishes including aubergine curry, fish curry and dhal. Thereafter, check into your hotel.

Day 5
Kandy
Enjoy a light breakfast, as your morning adventure in Kandy begins with a delightful food walk. Savour a variety of delicious treats, from exotic fruits and curd with treacle to king coconuts and dodol.
Following your culinary exploration, visit the magnificent Temple of Tooth Relic. This revered site houses the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha and stands as a significant and visually stunning landmark in Kandy. Adorned with beautiful local paintings and architectural details, it offers a rich cultural experience.

Day 6
Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Following breakfast, depart for Kandy Railway Station, embarking on a picturesque train voyage to Nanu Oya. Upon arrival, you'll receive a warm welcome and transfer to a Tea Factory and Plantation. Here, you'll gain insight into the transformation of loose-leaf tea into pure Ceylon tea, with a friendly factory worker explaining the processes of withering, rolling, and fermenting. The visit concludes with a tasting session featuring various tea varieties.
Dinner and Overnight: Jetwing St Andrews Nuwara Eliya (Standard) or The Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya (Deluxe), or similar.
Day 7 - 11
Nuwara Eliya - Colombo - Maldives
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Colombo Airport for your flight to the Maldives.
Overnight on All Inclusive: Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives (Standard) or Emerald Maldives (Deluxe), or similar.
Day 12
Maldives
Today marks the final day of your trip. Enjoy your last few hours on the island before heading back to the Airport for your flight home.
