Tikehau Ninamu Resort
Overview
Set on a remote, private island in the Tekehau Atoll, Ninamu is a nature lover’s paradise with a secluded castaway feel. For those seeking adventure and relaxation in equal measure, this virtually untouched retreat will fulfil your wildest fantasies of escaping to a blissful island retreat with little interference from the modern world.
Hidden away on a motu in the southwestern corner of the French Polynesian atoll Tikehau, Niamu is an incredibly unique and special all-inclusive resort which accommodates a maximum of just sixteen guests at any one time, ensuring you’ll receive a truly personal and intimate experience. You’ll be staying in one of seven rustic, hand-crafted bungalows, each one totally unique from the other with architecture and furniture being built with local island materials such as coconut palms and coral; the only thing they share in common is the amenities, which include a cosy living room, plush beds, mosquito nets, complimentary toiletries and stunning vistas from all around.
The resort is ‘off the grid’, generating all its electricity through solar power, and to ensure guests can fully unwind and soak up their surroundings, there are no TVs in the bungalows (there is one in the lounge if you’re in need of a catch up in the current world). The restaurant draws a focus on local, organic and fresh produce, with most ingredients being sourced from Eden Isle, an organic family-run farm on the other side of the island. We love that you can catch your own fish in the nearby waters, which are then cooked up and served for lunch or dinner.
This little slice of paradise serves as the perfect base for explorers, surrounded by a crystalline lagoon bursting with exotic marine life and stunning sights. There’s a fantastic range of complimentary activities to enjoy during your stay here, including paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, snorkelling and fishing. Meanwhile, there’s a wonderful selection of daily excursions to take part in for more atoll exploration, which may entail swimming with manta rays, snorkelling in the pass or a relaxing sunset cruise with refreshing beverages and unforgettable vistas.
